Hotter Than the Summer Sun: Eurosatory 2026 Brought the Heat

Is it hot in here, or is that just Eurosatory 2026?

With temperatures soaring across Paris, it was hard to tell whether the heat was coming from the summer sun or from the exhibition halls themselves. Between next-generation body armor, anti-drone systems, AI-powered defence technologies and countless product launches, Eurosatory 2026 was buzzing with energy from the moment the doors opened. From packed exhibition halls to non-stop meetings, this year’s event once again proved why it remains the world’s premier exhibition for land defence and security.

As an Official Media Partner, BodyArmorNews.com was proud to be back on the exhibition floor, covering the event from the heart of action. Our team was buzzing from booth to booth like busy bees, zigzagging across the exhibition halls with cameras, microphones and notebooks in hand. Despite a schedule packed tighter than a ballistic vest, we somehow made it to every meeting and even found time to catch up with familiar faces, share a few laughs and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere that makes Eurosatory such a special event year after year.

One of the defining themes of this year’s exhibition was the growing importance of drones and counter-drone technologies. Everywhere you looked, companies were presenting new systems to detect, intercept or neutralize unmanned aerial threats, reflecting the lessons learned from today’s conflicts. Electronic warfare, autonomous systems and AI-driven defence solutions were impossible to ignore and clearly represent one of the fastest-growing sectors within the industry.

Another talking point throughout the exhibition was the impact of geopolitics on the defence sector. The decision to close several Israeli booths displaying offensive weapon systems sparked conversations across the exhibition floor, reminding everyone that global events continue to shape both defence policy and the industry itself.

For the body armor community, the spotlight remained on lighter, smarter and more adaptable protection systems. Manufacturers showcased advanced ballistic materials, innovative hard armor solutions and integrated protective equipment designed to enhance both survivability and mobility for military and law enforcement personnel.

But what makes Eurosatory truly special isn’t just the technology, it’s the people. One of the highlights for our team was reconnecting with familiar faces from previous exhibitions while also meeting new professionals from across the industry. Despite the busy schedules, everyone took the time to share their knowledge, discuss new developments and even enjoy a few laughs between interviews. Those personal conversations and longstanding relationships are what make covering Eurosatory such a rewarding experience year after year.

During the exhibition, the BodyArmorNews.com team met with representatives from Marom Dolphin, Composhield, NFM Group, Avon Protection, Team Wendy, Integris Composites, Kevlar®, Teijin Aramid, ULBRICHTS GmbH, Infl8 and Zebra Protection, as well as the Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry. Each meeting offered valuable insights into the future of ballistic protection and demonstrated the passion and innovation that continue to drive this industry forward.

Our cameras and notebooks were working overtime throughout the day, capturing exclusive interviews, product demonstrations and expert opinions. In the coming weeks, BodyArmorNews.com will publish a series of articles and videos featuring the companies we spoke with, giving our readers an inside look at the latest innovations unveiled at Eurosatory 2026.

As the exhibition halls emptied and the long walk back to the train station began, our feet were sore, our memory cards were full and our notebooks overflowing with ideas. But what we’ll remember most isn’t just the cutting-edge technology or the impressive displays, it’s the people behind them. Catching up with familiar faces, meeting new innovators and sharing a few laughs between interviews reminded us that, despite operating in a highly technical industry, the body armor community remains remarkably open, collaborative and welcoming.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us and share their latest developments. Your passion, expertise and good humour made this year’s Eurosatory a truly memorable experience. And if this year’s exhibition showed us anything, it’s that innovation never stands still, and neither does the body armor industry.

So, was it just the Paris summer that made Eurosatory so hot? We don’t think so. It was the ideas, the innovation and the people that truly turned up the temperature.

Now it’s our turn to tell their stories. Stay tuned to BodyArmorNews.com for exclusive interviews, articles and videos from Eurosatory 2026. And before we know it, the countdown to Eurosatory 2028 will begin.
